EcoNet Building Partners must have a minimum of 15 years successful home building company ownership experience. A minimum of 10 years of their successful home building business operation must have involved energy efficient home design and construction. Passed and present involvement in environmental organizations are an advantage. Leed AP status is a qualifying asset.
EcoNet Building Partners must have long established credit relationships with their suppliers, lenders, and strong references from their past client list.
EcoNet Building Partners must be financially capable of establishing the 1.5% trust fund (required by EcoNet standards) prior to the completion of the framing of the project.
EcoNet Building Partners must be personally involved in the day to day operation of their local business, communicate directly with their building clients and inspect EcoNet projects, at a minimum, on a weekly basis.
Each Building Partners’ continued EcoNet participation will be evaluated after each of their first three EcoNet projects.
